नवरात्रि हिन्दू धर्म के सबसे पवित्र और दिव्य पर्वों में से एक है। यह उत्सव माँ आदिशक्ति दुर्गा के नौ दिव्य स्वरूपों की आराधना और शक्ति की उपासना का प्रतीक है। नौ दिनों तक भक्त उपवास, पूजा, हवन, दुर्गा सप्तशती का पाठ, भजन-कीर्तन तथा देवी आराधना कर माँ का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं।

प्रत्येक दिन नवदुर्गा के एक विशेष स्वरूप की पूजा की जाती है, जिनका अपना आध्यात्मिक महत्व और दिव्य स्वरूप है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि श्रद्धा और भक्ति से माँ की उपासना करने पर वे अपने भक्तों की सभी मनोकामनाएँ पूर्ण करती हैं तथा उन्हें सुख, समृद्धि, आरोग्य, साहस और आध्यात्मिक उन्नति का आशीर्वाद प्रदान करती हैं।

वाराणसी स्थित श्री दुर्गा कुंड मंदिर में नवरात्रि का पर्व अत्यंत भव्य रूप से मनाया जाता है। इन नौ दिनों में प्रतिदिन विशेष पूजा, महाआरती, भव्य श्रृंगार और धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों का आयोजन किया जाता है। देश-विदेश से हजारों श्रद्धालु माँ के दर्शन के लिए यहाँ आते हैं और इस दिव्य उत्सव का हिस्सा बनते हैं।

Navratri is one of the most sacred and widely celebrated festivals in Hinduism. Dedicated to Maa Adi Shakti Durga, this nine-day festival honors the nine divine forms of Goddess Durga (Navadurga) and symbolizes the victory of righteousness over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.

Throughout the festival, devotees observe fasts, perform daily prayers, recite the Durga Saptashati, participate in devotional singing, and seek the blessings of the Divine Mother. Each of the nine days is dedicated to a different form of Navadurga, with every form representing unique divine qualities and spiritual significance.

At the Shri Durga Kund Temple, Varanasi, Navratri is celebrated with great devotion and grandeur. The temple is beautifully decorated, and special rituals, magnificent Shringar, Maha Aarti, and devotional ceremonies are performed every day. Thousands of devotees from across India and around the world visit the temple during this sacred festival to seek the blessings of Shri 1008 Maa Kushmanda Durga Ji and experience the divine atmosphere of Navratri.

🌺 Day 1 – Maa Shailaputri (प्रतिपदा)

प्रथम नवरात्रि के दिन माँ शैलपुत्री की पूजा की जाती है। पर्वतराज हिमालय की पुत्री होने के कारण इन्हें शैलपुत्री कहा जाता है। यह शक्ति, धैर्य और नए आरंभ का प्रतीक हैं। भक्त इस दिन माँ से सुख, समृद्धि और आध्यात्मिक उन्नति का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त करते हैं.

On the first day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Shailaputri, the daughter of King Himalaya. She symbolizes strength, stability, and new beginnings. Devotees seek her blessings for prosperity, peace, and spiritual growth.

🌺 Day 2 – Maa Brahmacharini (द्वितीया)

द्वितीय नवरात्रि को माँ ब्रह्मचारिणी की पूजा की जाती है। यह तप, त्याग, संयम और ज्ञान की देवी हैं। इनके आशीर्वाद से भक्तों को आत्मबल, धैर्य और सफलता प्राप्त होती है।

On the second day of Navratri, Maa Brahmacharini is worshipped. She represents devotion, penance, wisdom, and perseverance. Her blessings inspire strength, determination, and inner peace.

🌺 Day 3 – Maa Chandraghanta (तृतीया)

तृतीय नवरात्रि के दिन माँ चंद्रघंटा की आराधना की जाती है। इनके मस्तक पर अर्धचंद्र सुशोभित है। यह साहस, वीरता और निर्भयता का प्रतीक हैं तथा अपने भक्तों की सभी बाधाओं से रक्षा करती हैं।

On the third day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Chandraghanta. She symbolizes courage, fearlessness, and divine protection, removing obstacles and blessing devotees with confidence.

🌺 Day 4 – Maa Kushmanda (चतुर्थी)

चतुर्थ नवरात्रि के दिन माँ आदिशक्ति श्री १००८ माँ कुष्मांडा दुर्गा जी की पूजा की जाती है। माँ कुष्मांडा नवदुर्गा का चौथा स्वरूप हैं। धार्मिक मान्यता के अनुसार, जब सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्मांड अंधकारमय था, तब माँ ने अपनी दिव्य मुस्कान से सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि की रचना की। इसी कारण उन्हें सृष्टि की आदि शक्ति कहा जाता है।

वाराणसी स्थित श्री दुर्गा कुंड मंदिर में इस दिन विशेष पूजा-अर्चना एवं भव्य श्रृंगार किया जाता है। देशभर से हजारों श्रद्धालु माँ के दर्शन के लिए आते हैं। मंदिर में श्रद्धालुओं की भारी भीड़ रहती है और दर्शन का क्रम प्रातः लगभग 2:00 बजे से रात्रि 1:00 बजे तक निरंतर चलता रहता है।

On the fourth day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Adi Shakti Shri 1008 Maa Kushmanda Durga Ji, the fourth form of the Navadurga. According to Hindu tradition, when the universe was covered in darkness, Maa Kushmanda created the cosmos with her divine smile. Therefore, she is revered as the Primordial Divine Mother and the Creator of the Universe.

At the Shri Durga Kund Temple in Varanasi, this day is celebrated with special prayers, magnificent Shringar, and grand rituals. Thousands of devotees from across India visit the temple, making it one of the busiest days of Navratri. Devotees gather from approximately 2:00 AM until 1:00 AM the following night to seek the Divine Mother's blessings.

🌺 Day 5 – Maa Skandamata (पंचमी)

पंचम नवरात्रि को माँ स्कंदमाता की पूजा की जाती है। यह भगवान कार्तिकेय (स्कंद) की माता हैं। इनके आशीर्वाद से परिवार में सुख, समृद्धि, संतान-सुख और शांति प्राप्त होती है।

On the fifth day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Skandamata, the mother of Lord Kartikeya. She blesses devotees with happiness, prosperity, family well-being, and peace.

🌺 Day 6 – Maa Katyayani (षष्ठी)

षष्ठ नवरात्रि के दिन माँ कात्यायनी की पूजा की जाती है। यह धर्म की रक्षा तथा अधर्म के विनाश का प्रतीक हैं। भक्त इस दिन साहस, विजय और मनोकामना पूर्ति की प्रार्थना करते हैं।

On the sixth day of Navratri, Maa Katyayani is worshipped. She represents courage, righteousness, and victory over evil. Devotees pray for strength and the fulfillment of their wishes.

🌺 Day 7 – Maa Kalaratri (सप्तमी)

सप्तम नवरात्रि के दिन माँ कालरात्रि की पूजा होती है। यह दुष्ट शक्तियों का नाश करने वाली तथा अपने भक्तों को भय और संकट से मुक्त करने वाली देवी हैं।

On the seventh day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Kalaratri, the fierce destroyer of evil. She protects her devotees from fear, negativity, and all forms of adversity.

🌺 Day 8 – Maa Mahagauri (अष्टमी)

अष्टम नवरात्रि के दिन माँ महागौरी की आराधना की जाती है। यह पवित्रता, करुणा, शांति और मोक्ष का प्रतीक हैं। इस दिन कन्या पूजन का भी विशेष महत्व होता है।

On the eighth day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Mahagauri, the embodiment of purity, compassion, and peace. Kanya Pujan (worship of young girls) is also widely performed on this day

🌺 Day 9 – Maa Siddhidatri (नवमी)

नवम नवरात्रि के दिन माँ सिद्धिदात्री की पूजा की जाती है। यह अपने भक्तों को अष्ट सिद्धियाँ, नव निधियाँ तथा आध्यात्मिक उन्नति का आशीर्वाद प्रदान करती हैं। इसी दिन के साथ नवरात्रि का पावन उत्सव पूर्ण होता है।

On the ninth day of Navratri, devotees worship Maa Siddhidatri, the bestower of spiritual powers, wisdom, and divine blessings. Her worship marks the auspicious conclusion of the Navratri festival
